- The University was ranked the second best Italian university by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and the 201st worldwide in 2014.
- Trieste lacks the intensive tourism that is often associated with Italian port cities, so this makes it an ideal place to practice your Italian language skills, or learn it in the classroom at the University!
- Due to its interesting location, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful coastal towns of Slovenia and Croatia. It is a short distance from Ljubjana, as well as 2 hours by train from Venice!
